We hope that our tranquil country location, superb layout and great local attractions have whet your appetite for life at Woodlands. No doubt you have lots of questions about the park, and we’re happy to talk to you anytime.
Before you call, take a quick look at our most frequently asked questions below to see if the answer you’re looking for is here.
Woodlands is open 52 weeks a year.
Naturally, your friends and family are welcome to come and visit you and stay at your lodge.
Yes, we provide security to protect our residents and their property, and because we are open all year round, we provide security all year round too.
There is plenty of parking available at Woodlands, with access roads leading to every lodge, so there’s no need to carry your shopping from a car park.
Lodges vary in style and size but are all generously proportioned for your complete comfort. Lodges usually have two bedrooms and two bathrooms, along with a large living and kitchen area, plus separate study and lots of built in storage.
A leisure lodge is a well-insulated timber structure built on a steel framed floor. Lodges feel more like a bungalow, with home comforts like central heating, double glazing, high performance insulation, telephone, broadband, satellite TV and exterior decking. Your lodge will be sited on a concrete base and connected to all mains services.
We normally have a choice of lodge locations available, including waterside and woodland settings. Every setting is unique and has its own charm. Just ask for a tour of the available plots when you come to visit us.
You own your lodge outright, so there is not rent to pay. There is an annual pitch fee to cover the costs of running the park, including security, maintenance and upkeep of the public areas and paths.
You will also pay utility bills, just like you would in any other home. Gas, electricity and water supplies are metered, and there’s provision for a broadband phone connection and satellite TV.
Unlike cold static caravans, Woodlands’ lodges are very cosy and energy efficient, often matching or exceeding the efficiency of a cavity wall building. This keeps heat loss from the lodge to a minimum and significantly reduces your energy bills.
All our lodges fall into Band A for council tax.
