When he first set out to create Woodlands, over 25 years ago, founder, William Lowcock, had a vision of a very special place. A place of peace and quiet. A place of beauty and tranquility. A caring community of like-minded people who shared a common goal of laid-back, luxury lifestyle in stunning surroundings.
As a local resident most of his life, William knew the benefits of being in the country, surrounded by nature, and he wanted to make that lifestyle available to you by creating a relaxing rural park. Today, that vision has been realised in one of Lancashire’s finest lodge parks.
Woodlands Country Park is an oasis of peace and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of life, free from the constant roar of the traffic and the noise of the town. Our superb 45 acre site blends woodlands and waterways, with luxury lodges, to create a unique environment where you can get back to nature and relax in your retirement.
In fact, the park is so peaceful that it has become a haven for local wildlife, with countless species of animals and birds making it their home. You may even find a deer wandering across your lawn in the morning mist.
The Woodlands community is made up of people just like you. People who care about each other, yet respect each other’s peace and privacy. You’ll make lots of new friends on the park, and you can always find someone to share a cup of tea or join you for a barbecue on the deck. However, you can also enjoy peace and quiet when you choose, relaxing with a book or sitting by the lake for a spot of fishing.
At Woodlands, you’ll never be lonely, but you can be alone, drinking in the fresh air and wonderful wildlife that is all around you as you enjoy a little ‘me time’.
Woodlands is all about being laid-back when you want to slow down a little. With an easy to manage lodge and delightful surroundings right on your doorstep, you can take it easy now that your time is your own. Choose a plot with a garden to tend. Choose a waterside location and fish from your own stretch of lakeside or canal bank. You can even add a hot tub to relax in style under the stars.
